Media Advisory: Joint Statistical Meetings Open Today at Colorado Convention Center

The 2008 Joint Statistical Meetings (JSM), organized by the American Statistical Association (ASA), opens today at the Colorado Convention Center here. Keynotes will speak on the future of health care; elections, sports, sex, and drugs are featured session topics. Statistical experts will participate in more than 2,500 oral presentations, panel sessions, poster presentations, continuing education courses, career placement, business meetings, social activities and networking opportunities during the five-day program.
